When a family of four purchased a two-acre parcel of historic farmland in Louisville, Colorado, they sought a home that would celebrate the beauty of its natural surroundings and optimize for entertaining and outdoor living. 

DAJ Design interpreted the family’s laid-back style into a clean, yet warm design that’s as practical as it is elegant. The home’s more traditional facade unfolds into a playfully modern retreat, with magnificent views of Boulder’s Flatirons visible from nearly every room in the house. Multiple mudrooms and a large garage keep outdoor gear organized, while an open-plan layout, fun gathering spaces, and a poolside retreat set the scene for large gatherings and everyday relaxation. 

A neutral color palette feels calm and timeless, while organic materials and layered textures add depth and personality to the home’s modern design. The result is a quintessential Colorado home that the family can enjoy for years to come.
